Hiring a lawyer…

May 6, 2015

Today we received a call from a nice gentleman that was involved in a car wreck almost two (2) years ago.  This gentleman initially hired a lawyer that he saw on television.  The firm in question took his case and sat on in for twenty-three (23) months, before withdrawing as the statute of limitations drew near.  We get these calls on a regular basis.  If you need a lawyer, we recommend hiring a lawyer based on the following criteria:

  • Is the lawyer well respected in the legal community and by the judges?
  • If a lawsuit is necessary, will that lawyer file it or will that lawyer send you to someone else?
  • Is the lawyer familiar with the local customs, procedures, and juries where your case will be filed?
