Wrongful Death Lives On

Four years ago in Chicago, an iron gate fell and crushed three-year old while he pedaled his tricycle.  Now, despite being settled, the wrongful death case filed by his mother lives on as her attorneys battle over legal fees.  The attorneys that the mother previously hired and fired argue that they deserve the $500,00 that they have billed.  The mother’s current attorneys dispute this, pointing out that many entries for daily work exceed even a 10-hour work-day.  Particular were two days in June, where the previous two attorneys had billed 19 hours each.
