Non-Profit Work
Kenny Cole also has been involved in various non-profit work, volunteer work, and community activities over the years. He has organized fund raisers for The Miracle League, an organization which provides disabled children and young adults with the opportunity to play baseball and other sports, and formerly served on its Board of Directors. He has also been involved with fundraisers for the fellowship of Christian Athletes and is a member of the board of directors of the North Alabama chapter.
He also has enjoyed working on home construction for Habitat for Humanity in his efforts to help others through more than just his legal profession.
Kenny also has been active in his Churches in Texas and Alabama, serving variously as a Deacon; Sunday School teacher for young married couples; Sunday School teacher for middle schoolers and high schoolers; and an instructor in the Becoming a Contagious Christian series.
Because of his love for sports and belief that team activities teach young people important lessons about life, team work, discipline, responsibility, and working hard to achieve goals, Kenny has served as a baseball, football, softball, and soccer coach in various youth leagues in Texas and Alabama, and even volunteered as an assistant football coach at Huntsville High School and Chapman Middle School.
Jeremiah Hodges also believes that lawyers owe an obligation to help their communities through more than just their legal work. While in law school, Jeremiah founded the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Chapter at the University of Alabama, and he was a member of the Christian Legal Society. Jeremiah served as the Student Advisor on the Kingston, Jamaica Community Outreach Project; the Chair of the Baptist Campus Ministries Fundraising; and the Chair of the Student Government Association Public Safety Committee. Jeremiah has also enjoyed work on home construction for Habitat for Humanity and playground construction when he helped build Kids Space in Huntsville, Alabama. He also is active in his church and has served as a Bible study teacher for young children.
