Kenny and Jeremiah were invited attend to Chapman Middle School's Football Banquet. Melvin Adams, a former Harlem Globetrotter turned youth speaker, entertained all in attendance with his powerful stories and colorful antics. Kenny was honored to be chosen to present the FCA Foxhole Award. This award was given to the player whom the team believed in and came to rely upon during the season.
Jeremiah was able to participate in "Read Across America Day" on March 2 by reading to kindergarteners at a local Huntsville City Elementary School The National Education Association created this annual program to encourage all children in all communities to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of famous children's author Dr. Seuss.
The National Commodore Club of Vanderbilt University recently published an article by Kenny in the magazine "Commodore Nation" which was sent to its worldwide membership. The National Commodore Club supports athletic competition at Vanderbilt in the tough Southeastern Conference by funding scholarships for true student/athletes. In his article, Kenny talks about the importance of giving back to family, friends, and Country; and discusses the impact on him of a Vanderbilt education and the opportunities he has had as a lawyer to give back to the community by making big businesses just a little bit safer.
